Old Fort, Town of -A Sludge/Compoo
McDowell County
The Division of Environmental Management has received information from the
Asheville Regional Office which confirms that the facility has never been constructed.
Therefore, as you requested, State Permit No. WQ0007441 will be rescinded, effective
immediately.
If in the future, you determine that you wish to operate nondischarge wastewater
treatment system, you must first apply for and receive a new Nondischarge Permit.
Operation of a wastewater system without a valid Nondischarge Permit will subject the
owner to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
