July & November: Annual monitoring shall be conducted ever} November. 2. The measurement of water levels shall be made prior to purging the wells. The depth to water in each well shall be measured from the surveyed point on (lie top of the casing. T he measurement Of pit shall be made aller purging and prior to sampling li)r the remaining parameters. 3. '['lie measuring points (top of well casing) of all monitoring wells shall be surveyed to provide the relative elevation of the measuring point for each monitoring well. The measuring points ((op oCcasing) of all monitoring wells shall be surveyed relative to a common daturn. 4. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) - In November only, anal 7.e by one of the following methods: a. Standard Nle(hod 62301). PQI, at 0.5 ug/L or less b. Standard Method 6210D. PQL at 0.5 lig1L or less C. FPA Method 8021. Low Concentration, PQI, at 0.5 pg/l. or less d. i:PA Method 8260, Low Concentration. PQL, at 0.5 Iig'i or less e. Another method with prior approval by the Aquifer Protection Section Chief Any method used mast meet the follo zing qualifications: a. A laboratory must be DWQ certified to run any niciltod used. b. The method used must, at a mininium, include all the constituents listed in Table Vill of Standard 114elliod 6230I). c. The method used must provide a PQl, of 0.5 jig/1., or less that inust be supported by laboratory proficiency studies as required by the DWQ Laboratory Certification Unit. Ali)- constihients detected above the MOL but below the PQf. of 0.5 lig/1, must be qualified (estimated) and reported. 5. If any volatile organic compounds (VOC) are detected as a result of monitoring as provided in Attachment C, then the W-whington Regional Office Aquifer Protection Supervisor. telephone number (252)940-6481. must he contacted immediately for further instructions regarding any additional follow-up analyses required. 6. If TUC. concentrations greater than 10 ing/1 are detected in any downgradient monitoring well, additional sarpling and analysis nnist be conducted to identify [lie individual Constituents comprising this TOC conceiitra(ion. If the TOC concentration as measured in the background monitor ivell exceeds 10 nig/I. this concentration %sill be taken to represent the naturally occurring TOC concentration. Any exceedances of this naturally occurringTOC concentration in the downgradient wells shall be subject to the additional sampling and analysis as described above. 7.
