Dear Mr. & Mrs. Ellis:
Reference is made to your request for rescission of the subject Single Family Residence (SFR)
Surface Irrigation Permit. Staff from the Raleigh Regional Office Aquifer Protection Section has
confirmed that this permit is no longer required, since the proposed surface irrigation facility
associated with this permit was never constructed. Therefore, in accordance with your request,
SFR Surface Irrigation Permit No. WQ0005562 is rescinded, effective immediately.
If, in the future, you again wish to operate a SFR surface irrigation system, you must first apply
for and receive a new SFR surface irrigation permit. Operating one of these systems without a
valid permit may subject the responsible party to a civil penalty of up to $25,000 per day.
