Dear Mr. Lievre:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your request that State Permit No. WQ0001334 be
rescinded. Your request indicated that the land with the retention pond for the groundwater
recovery was subdivided and sold and that this permit is no longer needed.
By copy of this letter, I am requesting confirmation from our Wilmington Regional Office
that this permit is no longer needed_ After verification by the regional office that the permit is no
longer needed, State Permit No. WQ0001334 will be rescinded.

Dear Ms. McCaskill:
This letter, written on behalf of our client, Worsley Companies, Inc. (WCI), is to formally
request that the subject permit be rescinded, as it is no longer necessary for the referenced site.
The referenced permit was originally obtained for discharge associated with a groundwater
recovery and treatment system which discharged to a large retention pond. Some time ago, the
land on which the pond existed was subdivided and sold. At this time, there is insufficient land
on the property to replace the pond. For this reason, the non -discharge permit is no longer
needed. Other treatment technologies will be used for site remediation, as required.
Please respond to this request in a timely manner so that we know if further work will be
required. If you should have questions or require additional information, please contact our
office.
