Subject: Rescission. of Permit No. WQ0000821
Weyerhaeuser -Jacksonville
Onslow County
Dear Mr- Coker:
Reference is made toward rescission of the subject Land Application Permit. Staff of
the Wilmington Regional Office have confirmed that this NonDischarge Permit is no
longer required, as the system no longer exists- Therefore, State Permit No. WQ0000821
is rescinded, effective immediately.
If in the future you wish to again operate under a nondischarge wastewater treatment
system, you must first apply for and receive a new State Permit. Operating without a
valid State Permit will subject the facility to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
If it would be helpful to discuss this matter further, I would suggest that you contact
Dave Adkins, Water Quality Regional Supervisor, Wilmington Regional Office at
910/395-3900.
Sincerely,
'Z'f_L

Subject: Permit Rescission Request
Weyerhaeuser Corporation
Nondischarge Permit No. WQ0000821
Onslow County
The writer visited the site of the old Weyerhaeuser Plywood
Plant in Jacksonville on October 3, 1995. This inspection was
performed as a result of a permit rescission request from
Weyerhaeuser. This inspection revealed that the industrial
facility and the sprayirrigation system no longer exist. There
is no need to continue the permitted activity defined within
Nondischarge Permit No. WQ0000821 and it is requested that the
permit be rescinded.
