Reference is made toward rescission of the subject State Compost Permit. Staff of
our Asheville Regional Office have confirmed that construction of this facility never took
place and this NoriDischarge Permit is no longer required. State Permit No. WQ0004678
is rescinded, effective immediately.
If in the future you wish to again, operate a Compost type of nondischarge wastewater
treatment system, you must first apply for and receive a new State Permit. Operating
without a valid State Permit will subject the facility to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per
day.
