Subject: Rescission of Permit No. WQ0003980
Consolidated Freightways, Inc.
Iredell County
Dear Mr. James:
The Division of Environmental Management has received information from the Mooresville
Regional Office which confirms that activities involving the land application of contaminated soils are
complete at the Consolidated Freightways, Inc. site. Therefore, as you requested, Permit Number
WQ0003980 is rescinded effective immediately.
If in the future, you determine that you need to land apply contaminated soils, you must first apply
for and receive a new Nondischarge permit. Failure to obtain a valid Nondischarge Permit for such
activities will subject the owner to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
If there is a need for any additional information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact
Robert Farmer at (919) 733-5083.
Sincerely,
George T. Everett
