Subject: Expiration of Permit No. WQ0003210
Greensboro Board of Education
Guilford County
Dear Mr. Woody:
The Division of Environmental Management received a letter dated May 10, 1991 from
Westinghouse Environmental which states that the subject facility no longer land applies petroleum
contaminated soils as authorized by the subject permit. Therefore, since the Winston-Salem Regional
Office has confirmed that land application of contaminated soils has ceased, the permit has been allowed to
expire as of December 31, 1991.
If in the future, you determine that you wish to operate a nondischarge wastewater treatment
system, you must first apply for and receive a new Nondischarge Permit. Operation of a wastewater
system without a valid Nondischarge Permit will subject the owner to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per
day.
If there is a need for any additional information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact
Robert Farmer at 9191733-5083.
