The Division has received a request on your behalf from Mr. Joseph S. Lassiter of Quible &
Associates, dated July 20, 1994, concerning the rescission of State Permit No. WQ0002842. You have
concurred with this request in a phone conversation with Mr. Ray Cox on November 3, 1994. The letter
states that the Groundwater Section of the Division's Washington Regional Office issued a letter
authorizing Corrective Action System Shut Down on July 22, 1993. The shutdown was permitted
because of the sampling from four consecutive periods indicating that groundwater contamination was
below detectable limits. Upon further review by Division staff, it has been determined that the subject
permit can indeed be rescinded at this time. Therefore, as requested, State Permit No. WQ0002842 will
be rescinded, effective immediately.
If in the future, if you determine that you need another Non -Discharge wastewater disposal permit,
you must first apply for and receive a new Non -Discharge Permit. Operation of a wastewater disposal
system without a valid Non -Discharge Permit will subject Winslow Oil Company and/or Austin Fish
Company to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
