Dear Mr. Peeler:

NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF

Subject: Permit No. WQ0002712
City of Lincoluton
Land Application of Residuals
from the Treatment of
Wastewater and Water
Lincoln County
In accordance with a request received via telephone from Mr. Robert Hamilton of
Wheelabrator Water Technologies, Inc. - Bio Gro Division on October 4, 2000, we are
forwarding herewith a corrected Page 10 of Permit No. WQ0002712, issued December 8, 1999,
for the subject residuals land application program. The following correction has been made to
the permit:
1. On February 16, 2000, the Division of Water Quality (Division) forwarded a
corrected Page 2 of Permit No. WQ0002712, issued December 8, 1999. In this
correction, Condition IV. 2. was modified to eliminate a seasonal restriction
requirement for Site No. LT 5-5, Site No. LT5-6, and Site No. LT 19-3 that limited
the period during which residuals could be land applied to April through October,
inclusive. In preparing the February 16, 2000 correction, the Division failed to
eliminate similar seasonal restriction language in Footnote b. of Condition VI. 4. on
Page 10 as well. Footnote b. has now been amended accordingly. Specifically,
Footnote b. only identifies those land application sites that are located within the 100-
year flood plain and are, therefore, subject to the requirements of Condition H. 11.
Please replace Page 10 with the corrected Page 10 into Permit No. WQ0002712, issued
December 8, 1999.
