HazenHazen and Sawyer 9101 Southern Pine Blvd.Suite 250 Charlotte,NC 8273.704 357 3150 Mr. Barry Love NCDEQ Division of Water Quality 610 E. Center Avenue Mooresville, INC 28115 RE: Charlotte Water Irvins Creek Tributary Gravity Sewer Project Force Main Extension H&S Project No. 31322-001 Dear Mr. Love, Hazen and Sawyer (Hazen) was contracted by Charlotte Water (CLTWater) to provide professional engineering services to design the Irvins Creek Tributary Gravity Sewer. Subsequently, Hazen is hereby submitting a Fast Track Application (FTA) on behalf of CLTWater for the extension of the Stevens Creek Force Main (previously permitted under permit number WQ0040047). This project will extend the existing force main 432 feet to tie-in to the proposed gravity sewer to allow for current and future hydraulic capacity; however, this project does not increase the firm pumping capacity of the existing pump station, and therefore, a zero flow increase is associated with this project. This project begins at the Irvins Creek Greenway and progresses southeasterly along the natural drainage pattern, crossing NC HWY 51, and generally following Lawyers Road until it ties-in to Stevens Creek Force Main. Project components include new cased trenchless crossings under NC HWY 51 and Lawyers Road, new manholes, and extension of the Stevens Creek Force Main. We have submitted an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan to NCDEQ for this project and are awaiting approval. The following documents are included for the project to facilitate your review: • Review fee check in the amount of$480 • Fast Track Application (FTA 04-16) • Flow Tracking/Acceptance Form (FTSE 04-16) • Site Maps (USGS Topographic Map and Street Level Aerial Map) • Stevens Creek Sewer Extension Permit No. W00040047 Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at 704-357-3150 or via email at em ierzeiewski(a)hazenandsawver.com.
