Revolution Mill — Floodwall — Plan 2018-0225 Dear Mr. Anderson: In accordance with the State of North Carolina's Rule 15A NCAC 02B .0267 — Jordan Water Supply Nutrient Strategy: Protection of Existing Riparian Buffers., any applicant that intends to disturb Zone 1 and Zone 2 of the stream buffer must show that there is "No Practical Alternative" than to impact the stream buffer. The applicant submitted a "No Practical Alternative Request" August 23, 2018 stating that the stream buffer disturbances within three Areas (see attached map for Areas) of the project site in Zone 1 and Zone 2 were necessary for the installation of a floodwall to control flooding of the existing drive within Zone 1 and Zone 2 of the stream buffer. The placement of the floodwall was limited by the existing driveway that was approved for the plan Revolution Mill (2014-1789). The City of Greensboro determined that a total temporary impact for Zone lis 555 square feet and 60 square feet in Zone 2. The permanent impact for Zone 1 is 246 square feet and 20 square feet in Zone 2 total permanent within the Jordan Watersupply Watershed stream buffer was necessary for this project. In addition, to date, the applicant has already secured other required federal, state, and local certifications. This approval is valid only for the purpose and design that was described in the application. If any modifications are made to the project a written notification describing the changes, must be submitted to the City of Greensboro Water Resources Department, Engineering Division (Stormwater Engineering Section). If the property is sold, the new owner must be given a copy of the certification and approval letter and is thereby responsible for complying with all conditions. This letter completes the review of The City of Greensboro, Water Resources Department, Engineering Division (Stormwater Engineering Section) under the Determination of No Practical Alternative.
