Development Review Group Manager City of Durham - 3rd Floor Engineering 101 City Hall Plaza Durham, NC 27701 Subject: Variance Request Approval 2826 Green Lake Lane Durham County Dear Mr.Joyner: The Division of Water Resources (Division) has reviewed the submitted variance request for the subject project. Pursuant to the variance request received via email from Mr. Pete Gitto of AMG Realty, LLC on September 7, 2018, on behalf of the City of Durham,the Division will grant the following variance request: 1. In accordance with the provision for alternative design covered under 15A NCAC 02T.0105(n), a variance from the State permitting requirements as listed in 15A NCAC 02T.0302(a)(7) and 15A NCAC 02T.0303(a) is approved for the usage of a combined, private sewer line for both a single-family residence and a detached garage with bathroom, located at 2826 Green Lake Lane in Durham, NC. The local building inspector must inspect both the individual building sewers and the combined sewer to the point of connection with the public gravity sewer owned by the City of Durham. 2. Approval of this variance for the pair of residential structures located at 2826 Green Lake Lane shall not apply to any other similar situations. Regardless of the variance approval, in the event that the wastewater collection facilities fail to perform satisfactorily, including the creation of nuisance conditions,the Permittee shall take immediate corrective action, including those as may be required by this Division, such as the construction of additional or replacement facilities. All other elements of this project shall be constructed in accordance with all applicable rules and statues including, 15A NCAC 2T;the Division of Water Resources' (Division) Gravity Sewer Minimum Design Criteria adopted February 12, 1996 as applicable; and the Division's Minimum State of North Carolina I Environmental Quality I Water Resources _ 1617 Mail Service Center I Raleigh,North Carolina 27699-1617 919-807-6300 2826 Green Lake Lane September 10,2018 Design Criteria for the Fast-Track Permitting of Pump Stations and Force Mains adopted June 1, 2000 as applicable.
