Dear Mr. Greenwood:
The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) has performed a preliminary review of a 401 Water Quality Certification
application submitted for the above referenced property. Additional information will be required in order to
complete the review process.
Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
Application Item B. 3d. requests the purpose of the desired impact. The provided narrative
provides a purpose not shown in the submitted plans and drawings. You must submit updated
drawings showing the intended structures in order to determine any necessary avoidance and
minimization that can occur.
2. Application Item B. 3e. requests a description of the project in detail. The supplied plans
indicate 230 linear feet of stream will be culverted. The provided narrative indicates that 217
liner feet of culvert is required. Please address this inconsistency in your response.
3. Application Item B. 4a. requests information regarding whether a jurisdictional determination
(JD) has been performed. The site visit indicated that wetlands may be present on the property.
All waters (stream, wetland, and open) must be delineated, and map developed, and JD

4. Application Item B. 6b. states that this project is for grading only, and does not include the
proposed Public Works Facility. Without the Public Works Facility, this project has no purpose.
Please amend your application to show that the Future Project Plans include the needed purpose.
