Thanks, Gregg From: Daniel Brinn [mailto:dbrinn@hydecountync.gov] Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2018 1:24 PM To: Bodnar, Gregg <gregg.bodnar@ncdenr.gov> Cc: Trowell, Steve <steve.trowell@ncdenr.gov>; Dawson and Bethany Pugh <middlecreekfarms@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [External] RE: Conference call Gregg and Steve, Thanks for the opportunity to do the conference call with all the resource folks, it was very helpful to hear the concerns. Mr. Pugh would be willing to agree to a conditional permit in order to be able to install the structures with risers as originally presented. The risers would only be used in the event that a tide gate needed to be serviced, Placement of riser boards would occur in only one of the two risers at a time, ensuring no water was being held/backed up. Placement of boards would be limited to no more than 7 consecutive days. Notification would be made to the CAMA field rep. before boards were place. Thanks again for your time, Daniel On Mon, Aug 13, 2018 at 10:11 AM Daniel Brinn <dbrinn@hydecountync.gov> wrote: Got it! Daniel From: Bodnar, Gregg[mailto:gregg.bodnar@ncdenr.gov] Sent: Thursday, August 9, 2018 10:18 AM To: Daniel Brinn Cc: Trowell, Steve Subject: Conference call Morning Daniel, Steve passed along your interest in a conference call, so I floated the idea to the agencies to get them thinking about scheduling. I got a pretty quick reply of interest with some further direction, so I wanted to provide that asap. Times available and comments... WRC Tuesday 800-1000 or Wednesday 800-930 or after 330. Maria also added that her concerns are identical to DMF and DWR, so she wouldn't need to be there. DWR Monday from 8 -1:30. As a follow up to information provided by Mr. Brinn, the use of a flashboard riser within a modified stream system as a water management practice is a concern to the Division of Water Resources due to potential impacts from the release of retained waters during the summer months when potential low dissolved oxygen could have impacts to aquatic life with the downstream PNA habitat. This Office would support the installation of the double barrel culvert with tidal gates on the downstream ends to combat salt intrusion into agricultural lands. DMF Monday and Wednesday. You have DMF comments. USACE No adverse comments have been received by the Corps, therefore, we do not have any objections or concerns regarding this project. Please convey this information to Messrs. Brinn and Pugh during your conference call. I hope this helps with scheduling and where each of the agencies are at with their concerns. Please let me know what time and we can figure out a phone number to call into.
