The DWQ has determined that this information is incomplete. Please provide the additional information requested below in order to continue review of your project and to prevent denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506: 1. Stub Road: a) According to the Wake County Soil Survey, hydric soils (possibly indicating wetlands) and an intermittent stream are located south of the UT to Big Branch where the stub road (Pearl Road Extension) is terminating. The stream determinations for this project were conducted on January 12, 2006 by Mike Horan. Feature "I" (the stream on the south side of UT to Big Branch that the stub road appeazs to point towards) was determined to be subject to the Neuse Buffer Rules. Since it appears that a continuation of the Pearl Road Extenstion may cause avoidable stream, buffer, and wetland impacts prior to its terminus with Auburn Church Road, the Division of Water Quality requires that the location of the road on the subject property be designed in such a way as to minimize the impacts to the adjacent property to the south. Please submit a plan sheet indicating the probable location of the Pearl Road Extension along with the buffers, streams, and wetlands that may be affected by the road. We understand that you may need to coordinate with Wake County and/or the City of Garner for this purpose. Please respond within five (5):days (in acknowledgement of the holiday season vacation difficulties, the days have been extended from 3 days to 5 days) of the date of this letter by sending five (5) copies of the above information in writing. This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at this time) by the DWQ.
