Parkway's Tanawha Trail.

To repair stone pier supporting trail footbridge crossing Boone Fork Creek. Pier was damaged during 2018 spring
heavy rainstorms. The bridge/trail has been closed after inspection by Federal Highway engineers.
4g. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:
The work will include stabilization of the existing stone masonry pier, excavation of material around the pier base,
and the installation/pouring of a concrete footing to secure the pier against the flows of the creek. All tools and
materials will be carried in via foot trail. Work will be done during low flow, sandbags and plastic coffer with pumps
to dewater immediate area, all existing soil and rock will be left in place, and there will be a form built and concrete
fill poured at base of pier with rebar cage.

Equipment and materials to be carried in along trail. Sandbags and coffer used to only dewater area around pier
and not whole stream. Work will be done during low water period. Work will be done outside trout moratorium. No
soil and rock outside pier base will be disturbed/removed.

Work done by hand without heavy equipment. Access on foot via existing trail. Work done outside trout
moratorium. Sandbags used to isolate area where concrete mix will be mixed and poured. Trail has been closed to
