Widen existing NC 119 to multiple lanes from SR
1981 (Trollingwood-Hawfields Road)/ SR 2126 (Old
Hillsborough Road) to Lowes Boulevard in the city
of Mebane, NC.
Thompson Gordon Shook Engineers, Inc., d/b/a TGS Engineers, has been retained by
NCDOT Division 7 to provide comprehensive professional engineering and
environmental services for the subject project. Included as part of these services,
TGS Engineers will complete an environmental document prepared in accordance
with the State Environmental Policy Act.
STIP Project U-6013 includes widening existing NC 119 to multiple lanes from SR
1981 (Trollingwood-Hawfields Road)/ SR 2126 (Old Hillsborough Road) to Lowes
Boulevard in the City of Mebane, NC.
We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in
evaluating potential environmental impacts for this project. Please respond by
Monday, September 24th, 2018, so that your comments can be used in the selection
of alternatives to be studied for this project. Copies of the Vicinity Map (Fig.1), Study
Area Map (Fig. 2), and USGS Topographic Map (Fig. 3) are attached for your use.
