The site is in the Town of Oak Island, Brunswick County, North Carolina. Currently the site is a vacant predeveloped residential site with underground utilities and driveways. All existing structures and driveways, and existing water and sanitary sewer services will be disconnected and removed. A shopping center including a grocery store with a square footage of approximate 28,800, one shops buildings totaling of approximate 7,000, and a wet storm water detention pond are proposed. This shopping center will be serviced by a private gravity sewage collection system. This private sewer system will run into a new dual buffer tank which is designed by Airvac / Town of Oak Island. The new 6" vacuum line which exits from the new buffer tank will be connected to the Town's vacuum main on E. Pelican Drive. Our application only covers the 6" gravity sere lines starting from the new buffer tank upstream to the grocery store and the shops. There will be total of approximately 375 LF of 6" private gravity sewer service lines under this application. Proposed waste water design flow calculations are listed below (per 15A NCAC 02T.0114 (f)): 1. Grocery Store = 130 Gal/1,000 S.f. x 28,800 s.f. = 3,744 Gal. 2. Shops A = 130 Gal/1,000 S.f. x 5,600 s.f. = 728 Gal. 3. Restaurants = 40 gal/Seat x 100 Seats = 4,000 Gal.
