Flow is from two subdivisions: The Lake at Lissara and The Estates at Lissara. These are new
subdivisions, with the number of homes continually growing from zero to the current approximate
count of 65.

Wastewater from subdivisions is pumped to the treatment plant via a septic tank effluent pump
(STEP) system. The treatment plant consists of one 18,900 gallon flow-equalization tank with a
38 SCFM blower and two 2HP flow equalization pumps; two 20,000 gallon aeration tanks; three
135 SCFM plant blowers; two 12 ft square clarifiers with airlift sludge and scum pumps; two
8,100 gallon sludge tanks with supernatant airlift pumps; chlorination/ dechlorination tank
with two tube chlorine tablet feeders and two tube dechlorination tablet feeders; effluent flow
measurement box with weir and ultrasonic flow measurement device; 45 KW standby power
generator (natural gas fueled) and automatic transfer switch; alarm dialer; blower building; and
associated yard piping, electrical work, and control systems. Plant is designed to reduce BOD5
and TSS concentrations to be compliant with NPDES permit.

RESIDUALS MANAGEMENT PLAN
LISSARA WASTEWATER TREATMENT
NPDES PERMIT NO. NC0088749
Lissara Partners, LLC utilizes Transou's Forsyth Septic Tank Service to transport
the residual solids from the Lissara Treatment Plant to the City of Winston-
Salem's Archie Elledge Wastewater Treatment Plant, where the solids are
incorporated into that Plant's biosolids program. The ultimate disposal of the
majority of the conditioned solids from the Elledge Plant is land application at
agronomic rates for fertilization, with the remaining portion of the solids going to a
landfill.
