Supposedly pond below project, have not confirmed. Stream reach relatively short 2500 linear feet but that is what FD asked for. Most of discussion was about the wetlands. there were two areas ofjusridictional wetlands which were wooded with mature timber. Todd said these wetlands would be enhancement at best (2:1), not rehab (1:1.5). Did have some soil work by Kevin Martin. Soils looked similar to what he proposed. Re-establishment areas showed some hydric indicators at 10 inches. Main question is moving the stream enough to provide the functional uplift for the wetland ratio that is proposed. Since these wetlands contained mature timber there was some trepidation with removing alot of the trees and much of the channel would go thru some of the wetlands. Would the raised stream rehydrate enough wetlands to counter those lost due to building the new channel. We asked for more infor to flesh out the possible wetland impact and funcitonal uplift of the wetlands. Would the benefit of improved stream channel and uplift level of the wetlands exceed the impact of the lost wetlands? This one is a close call. Action Items
