B-5121 B-5317 Wake December 1 2015 is a set of culled streamlwetland and buffer drawings previously
approved and permitted by USACE (Action ID SAW-2009-01001) as a NWP 14 and NCDEQ DWR.(Project
Number 20151246) as WQC 3886 with Buffer Authorization. B-5121 and B-5317 revised stream plan sheet
depicts additional temporary stream impacts at Site 1. Previously permitted and approved Impacts at Stream
Site 1 included 28 linear feet of temporary dewatering along the east streambank to remove concrete piers.
The contractor has requested to extend that particular area of dewatering across the entire stream channel to
assist in demolition of the bridge above the stream. See also photo of stream at bridge. Temporary impacts
remain at 28 linear feet here; however, there is a slight increase of temporary stream impacts of <0.01 ac.
This work is proposed to be done using Nationwide Permit No. 3/Water Quality Certificate 4132 with no
additional reporting by the NCDOT.
