impacts to the jurisdictional features.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact meat 910-330-2784. Thank You.

Restoration Plan
The restoration area that has been identified is approximately 800 square feet. The
attached drawing shows the wetland line and elevation shots, conducted by John L.
Pierce Surveying. The elevation of the existing wetlands averages 2', and the uplands in
the restoration area average 3.44'.
The proposed plan will require the use of mats or other suitable device to cross the
wetlands between flags A-4 and A-5, with a tracked machine. The area of restoration
will require the removal of uplands soil down to an elevation of 2'. This will be
completed from the uplands by digging from the wetlands back to the uplands. The area
to be removed shall be surveyed in the field with benchmarks to allow adequate depth.
The interface between the restoration and uplands will be excavated toward uplands 4.5'
or at a 3:1 slope. The slope area will be seeded and strawed and stabilized with a silt
fence at the interface to prevent any erosion into the restoration area.
The restoration area will be planted with native wetland vegetation which will include
wax myrtle and needle rush. Ten wax myrtles will be planted in the area to ensure
survival at 300 counts per acre.
A monitoring well will be installed in the restoration area, and in the upland area. The
wells will be monitored twice a year for not less than three years. At the time of
monitoring a report will be sent to the USACE, and will include
-depth to water table in wells
-data sheets for the restoration area
-photographs of the restoration area
These reports will be completed in March and November.
