I am in Idaho for work that entire week and will be unable to join a field visit. I know there has been a desire to meet with
NCDOT in the field, the timing seems important with the CFI meeting/final plan development and the main issues seem to be

more stormwater/construction disturbance/temporary impacts both above and below the jd channel, so thinking it would best
to keep the meeting scheduled without me. Just wanted your feedback before I respond regarding whether that date works for
you and if you feel that I should reschedule so I can be present?

After a reconsideration of the travel time from Raleigh area to Boone (about 4 hrs.), it seems better to schedule the site visit in
the morning of Wednesday, August 22, 2018. In that way it will be cooler for the site visit, the CFI will be in the afternoon and
the convenience of those traveling from Raleigh area to travel the night before.
Please let me know your thoughts.

During our meeting today on the above referenced project, the Agencies reiterated their interest in visiting the site of the
proposed bridge section of this project- R-2566BA. We are tentatively scheduling the site visit on Tuesday August 21, 2018 in
the morning (the exact time will consider travel time to Boone and prevalent hot temperature in the afternoon). The Combined
Field Inspection of this project is also scheduled for August 22, 2018. The site visit will precede the Combined Field Inspection
to allow a discussion in the CFI meeting of the comments from the Agencies' site visit. Due to challenges of site parking, I am
arranging for Car/Van pool from the NCDOT County Maintenance Yard located at
1829 NC-194, Boone, NC 28609. Both the NCDOT District Office and the County Maintenance Yard are 8 miles or 15 minutes'
drive from the bridge site.
Please let me know if you have any comments or concerns about the date and time by end of business tomorrow, August 9,
2018, so that I can send out the final site visit invite.
