HomeMy WebLinkAbout20210147 Ver 1_08-16-2018 - Public Notice - U-5813 - Randolph County_20180808NCDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON AUGUST 16 REGARDING THE PROPOSED WIDENING OF U.S. 64 FROM ASHEBORO BYPASS TO EAST OF THE N.C. 49 INTERCHANGE REPLACEMENT OF THE BRIDGE ON N.C. 49 OVER U.S. 64 AND MODIFY INTERCHANGE FOR I-73 / I-74 AND U.S. 220 IN RANDOLPH COUNTY STIP Project No. U-5813 The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to widen U.S. 64 to multi-lanes, from the Asheboro Bypass to just east of interchange at N.C. 49. Replace the bridge on N.C. 49 over U.S. 64. Modify ramps at interchange for I-73 / I-74 and U.S. 220 in Randolph County. A public meeting will be held at the West Bend United Methodist Church located at 1080 Albemarle Road on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather input on the proposed design. As information becomes available, it may be viewed online at the NCDOT Public Meeting Webpage: http://www.ncdot.�ov/news/public-meetin�s. The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops. The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be done via phone, email, or mail by August 30, 2018.
