The property is located•between'Front Street and Taylors Creek and has the applicants remobeled home on the lot whcih takes up the majority of the land surface. What small yard areas that exist are vegetated by domestic yard species. The shoreline is characterized by an existing concrete bulkhead which was constructed many years prior to permit requirements. Waterward of the bulkhead is a small sand beach and then a 5-10' wide fringe of Spartina alterniflora marsh. Waterward of this is a rock revetment which was placed last summer without the appro- priate state and federal permits. This was processed as a viola- tion of the CAMA and D&F law; the matter has been completely set- tled. At the site is the applicant's existing pier which is in an advanced state of decay. The applicant proposes to replace the structure with a new 50' long pier which will have a 20' "L" shaped configura- tion at the end.
