SITE DESCRIPTION
The applicant's property is located in Colington Harbour Subdivision on
Sir Chandler Drive on Sloop Inlet, a man-made canal off the Albemarle Sound.
The applicant's lot is developed with an-existing house, garage, pier and
mooring pilings along the existing bulkhead. The property is approximately
4' above,MSL and has a sandy loam soi].
The applicant proposes to place 2 mooring pilings 22' apart and approximately
20' from the existing bulkhead. The water depth at this location is approximately
-6', with the applicant proposing to moor a 22' powerboat between the proposed
mooring pilings and the existing pier.
ANTICIPATED IMPACTS
The proposed project will'result in the placement of 2 round mooring pilings
approximately 8' in diameter being placed in Sloop Inlet.

This permit, issued on q ` f(/ 6 , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
(1) The mooring pilings will be placed as shown on the attached plat.
(2) The activity will be conducted in such a manner as to prevent significant
increases in turbidity outside the area of construction or construction-related
discharge.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee
or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the
issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work
initiation or continuance, as the case may be.
This permit must be accessible on-site to Department
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification
not covered hereunder requires further Departmental
approval.
All work must cease when the permit expires on
December 31, 1989
In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina
agrees that your project is consistent with the North
Carolina Coastal Management Program.
