Just a follow up on the U-2579B Beltway project sites as reported by Amy earlier. Site 1: crews cleaned it up and removed approx 20 - 5 gal buckets. Not quite a cu yd of material. This site had received about 6-7 inches of rain over a two day period. Site 24: approx 8-Sgal buckets removed. A drop inlet was overwhelmed and most came thru the pipe. Site 27: approx 5- 5 gal buckets removed. Several drop inlets were involved and rock inlet protection overwhelmed. If you need anything else please let me know. Dave, some additional sites where we have had some losses: -Stokes Co, Bolejack Rd bridge site. They had approx 3 inches of rain over the past two days and the creek levels were up over the banks. They recovered about 1 1/2 5 gal buckets of sediment (approx 8 gals) - 85 Rowan Co - they had several rain events of 2-2.5 inches since the weekend and one event of approx 3 inches. First site is off of Loop C at I-3804 (OLd Beatty Ford Rd), there was a loss into the wetland. The basin overtopped and they recovered about 4- 5 gal buckets of mixed sediment and erosion control stone. There is additional accumulation but I recommend it be left to avoid damaging think herbaceous vegetation in that area. Most pockets are approx 1 inch max depth with most much less. In addition, there was a loss down a driveway pipe offsite on Hwy 152. This is not listed on our project but I think it is an intermittent JS. It did not reach Cold Water Creek. They have removed approx 7 cu yds of material from this site and will remove approximately one more cu yd. There is some I recommended leaving due to possibility of damaging the heavy vegetation.
