LINDA SMALL ETHERIDGE BID REPORT PAGE 2 SITE DESCRIPTION The applicant's property is located in New Begun Subdivision on New Begun Creek on Small Drive: The existing lot is undeveloped with sandy clay soil and is approximately 4' to 7' above MHW. The shoreline has eroded with a 4' vertical cliff at the northern edge of the property and at the middle section, with the remaining shoreline being trees to the waters edge. The applicant proposes to bulkhead a distance of 2801, with the maximum distance out being 9', with the average being 3' beyond NWL. The applicant proposes to tie into 2 existing bulkheads on either side of the property. The proposed bulkhead is to be constructed of salt-treated timbers. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS The project as proposed would result in the`filling of 2240 square feet of creek bottom, resulting in 248 cubic yards of fill, of which 93 cubic yards will be below NWL. The proposed project would result in increased levels of turbidity, however, these effects will be short-termed and localized.
