NCDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON JULY 31 REGARDING THE PROPOSAL TO
RECONSTRUCT THE INTERCHANGE AT U.S. 29 — 70 / I-85 BUSINESS AND SOUTH MAIN STREET
(S.R. 1009) IN GUILFORD COUNTY
STIP Project No. U-5896
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to reconstruct the Interchange at U.S. 29 — 70 /
I-85 Business and South Main Street (S.R. 1009) in High Point.
A public meeting will be held at the High Point Theater located at 220 East Commerce Avenue
on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather input on the
proposed design. As information becomes available, it may be viewed online at the NCDOT
Public Meeting Webpage: www.ncdot.�ov/news/public-meetin�s
The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation
will be made. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive
comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on
the project develops.
The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be done via
phone, email, or mail by August 14, 2018.
