SUBJECT: Proposed Wetland Fill at Dolphin Ridge and Royal Oaks, Emerald
Isle
Our section provided comments concerning this project in a memo dated July 8tn
2005. The concerns expressed at that time were the loss of wetlands and the
decreased ability to contain and treat stormwater runoff from the adjacent
properties. Our office recently reviewed the 401 Water Quality Certification
Approval provided by the Division of Water Quality. This certification satisfies our
concerns provided that the conditions of the certification are met.
