It is the Chattooga watershed's superlative environmental and aesthetic quality that makes this area so desirable for development. For that reason, it is critically important that each and every developer be held to the same high standard necessary to provide, collectively, for the protection of the area's environmental amenities and ecosystem services. It is not clear that this applicant understands or intends to meet the high standard needed to responsibly develop land in the National Wild & Scenic Chattooga River watershed. The Army Corps of Engineers and North Carolina Department of Water Resources should not allow this proposal to proceed without a public hearing, which would be a genuine opportunity for local Cashiers residents to learn more details about the permit application and allow them to offer informed input. Thank you for taking the time to consider my comments, I look forward to an affirmative decision on holding a public hearing on this application. Tyler Wean
