The County of Brunswick proposes to replace the existing force main along Timber
Lane :and Pickett Road. in the Town of Leland. The proposed modifications include the
abandonment of approximately 3,574 LF of existing 10" SDR 21 PVC sewer force main along
Timber Lane and Pickett Road in Leland NC and
replacement with approximately 3,532 LF of
12 C900 PVC and pressure class 350 DIP force main. In that regard, we have re ared the Fast -

You are correct in the 8" reuse is in the ground from the NEWWTP is in the ground from the plant all the wat to the
Magnolia Greens pump station. It has not been used due to its age and deterioration. We met with Magnolia Greens
representatives back in 09-10 and discovered that setbacks to meet the 2T rules had not been adhered to so we
abandoned the idea of reuse for the course. We actually tried to pressure test some years back but it would not hold
pressure in the segment we tested. You are correct that it was stubbed out but never connected at the NEWWTP.

Okay so I am making this a modification of the original permit from 2-24-1998 that approved the 10-inch FM, but need
to confirm that the permitted reuse line (8") was never installed to send treated effluent from Northeast Regional back
to Magnolia Greens for irrigation. I seem to recall it was stubbed at the plant, but that the rest was never built when
CG&L & DWQ let County abandon the reuse upgrade component/requirement.
