RESULTS, AND CONCL[ISIONS: HPOWeb reviewed on 5 September 2017 and yielded no NR, DE, SL, LD, or SS properties in the Area of Potential Effects (APE). Wilson County current GIS mapping, aerial photography, and tax information indicated an APE of cultivated fields and woodland with mostly residential resources, dating from the 1920s to the 2010s, (viewed 5 September 2017). APE extends 650 feet from either end of the existing bridge (N-S) and 100 feet to either side of the SR 1195 (Revell Road) centerline (E-W) to encompass proposed construction. An early-twentieth-century farmstead of possible significance spans SR 1195 (Revell Road) approximatefy 200 feet and more south of the existing Bridge No. 37 (PINs: 2658-80-Z676 and 2658-91-2030). As no staging of equipment, vehicles, or materials will be allowed outside the existing ROW, the project is not expected to affect the component resources of the farmstead. The Peter L. Bunn Cemetery (as identified in the FindAGrave.com databaseJ, located about 200 feet south of the existing bridge and 25 feet east of the SR 1195 (Revell Road) centerline (PIN: 2658-91-2030), contains above-ground features dating from the 1920s to the 1990s. Historically associated with the farmstead, but not individually eligible for the National Register, the cemetery nevertheless should be afforded the usual protections from project activity. Constructed in 1950, Bridge No. 37 is not eligible for the National Register according to the NCDOT historic bridge survey as it is not representative of any distinctive engineering or aesthetic type. Google Maps "Street View" confirmed the presence and relative placement of architectural and landscape resources in the APE (viewed 5 September 2017). A finding of no historic properties affected" will satisfy both GS 121-12(a) and Section 106 compliance requirements. Should the design of the project change, please notify NCDOT Historic Architecture as additional review may be necessary.
