General Project Narrative: SF-750416 is a bridge project that involves replacing Randolph County bridge #416 on SR 1911 (Ashland St) over Muddy Creek East Tributary with a box culvert and
(Description of Minimization of Water improvements to its approaches. The existing bridge is 1@ 18' timber deck on timber beams with vertical timber abutments. The proposed box culvert consists of 2@ 10' x 6'
Quality Impacts) barrels. The bridge replacement and associated improvements have been designed to minimize increases to impervious area. No additional travel lanes are proposed and the
minimum required roadway typical section has been utilized based on traffic and safety considerations. Drainage patterns will be maintained with the realignment of the existing

Avoidance and Minimization Efforts: The proposed culvert slope has been design to match the slope of the existing stream. The low flow culvert dimensions are consistent with the
(Bridge to Culvert) existing low flow channel dimensions. The culvert wil� be buried 1 foot below the bed and filled with native material. A low flow floodplain bench
has been design for one of the two barrels to maintain existing channel dimensions through the culvert. Culvert length has been minimized with
the use of 2:1 side slopes. Culvert alignment has been selected to avoid sharp bends at the inlet and outlet.
