The permittee has been instructed by the Town of Wake Forest to make a connection to their existing boardwalk. The design is such that is has attempted to avoid and minimize buffer disturbance. The crossing of the pond's dam takes advantage of its already disturbed nature. The crossing of the buffer inside the wetland area will utilize a pile -supported wooden boardwalk 1 b.
