This letter is a reminder that the Sewer Use Ordinance (SUO) revision required to address EPA's
"Streamlining" changes was due to the Pretreatment, Emergency Response and Collection Systems
(PERCS) Unit on June 1, 2007. As of this date your SUO has not been received.
PERCS-has published four documents on our web -site to address the changes to the Federal
pretreatment rules in 40 CFR 403. Visit www.newaterqualit��org, then click on Wastewater and then
Pretreatment. Scroll down to the Streamlining Update area for more directions. Also, refer to PERCS
Unit correspondence dated December 15, 2006, subject line End of 2006 Pretreatment Mailing and
March 19, 2007, subject line March 2007 Pretreatment Mailing, for additional information and
directions.
Submit an updated SUO and Checklist following the guidance by August 1, 2007. This may be
submitted in draft form, with adoption after PERCS approval. Failure to submit the required SUO
revisions by the due date may result in enforcement action.
