The PERCS Unit of the Division Water Quality reviewed the revised Sewer Use Ordinance
submitted by the Town of Pittsboro on May 2, 2005. This revision was made in response to the
Division's correspondence of December 10, 2004 requiring all POTWs to update their SUO to
establish maximum penalties and correct inconsistencies in previous SUO models.
The review indicates that the SUO is adequate and meets the minimum requirements of 15A
NCAC 2H .0900 and 40 CFR 403. Please submit a copy of Section 16, Effective Date after it
has been signed by the Town Council.
