Dear Mr. Shiver:
Attached is an amended Figure 5 per your comments (email correspondence to
me, July 5, 2002). The amended figure addresses the following:
1) Property owner information of adjacent properties.
2) Amended property boundary of study area parcel H2 (showing
connection and access for monitoring location #8).
3) Relocation of monitoring well location #9 to potential wetland area of
G2.
Adjacent property owners are shown on the modified figure. Individual tax map
parcel boundaries are not shown, however, they have been grouped by property
owner name and presented as adjacent property.
We previously showed the property boundary of H2 along the forest road. This
was incorrect. The actual boundary is the stream, and the floodplain/wetland
area shown on the figure has been amended to correctly show that location and
the appropriate location for monitoring location #8.
Monitoring location #9 was shown on an area that was thought to be on property
accessible to MMA. This was also incorrect and has been modified. The new
location of monitoring location #9 will address your request to monitor in the
suspected wetland area defined by G2.
Monitoring location #4 is shown as it was previously as the location was
intended to monitor deeper wells only (no near-surface monitoring). The
rationale in not including an additional monitoring location in G1 is due to the
fact that an interior drainage ditch bisects the block, and the near-surface
hydrology will be sufficiently presented by monitoring locations #5 and #9.
Monitoring location #1 will also provide additional near-surface data even
though it is located adjacent to the drainage swale.
