Dear Coordinator:
The 3M Pittsboro Transloader Facility, located at 2713 Wilkins Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, was sold
on April 1, 2018 to ATW — Genesee & Wyoming. 3M facility operations will be permanently closed and
operations will not continue under the new owner.
The facility previously operated under the North Carolina Environmental Quality NPDES Industrial
Stormwater Program, permit No. NCG070172. 3M Pittsboro formally request this stormwater permit be
terminated via the attached stormwater permit rescission request.
There were two outstanding annual permit fees for the February 2, 2016 to January 31, 2017 and
February 2, 2018 to January 31, 2019 fee periods. Payment for these fees was sent electronically with
the check number 0000016086 (voucher numbers 25526358 and 25526370).
