This development proposes the construction of a 10' wide multipurpose asphalt path along a portion of the route. We are seeking authorization to construct Phase 1 of the project, which is located on the western side of the Wilson Recreation Park Community Center property and Hominy Swamp Creek (Neuse River Basin). The first phase of the trail is to be located in the existing park area containing picnic areas, gravel parking, and playground equipment. The proposed trail is located outside of the 50' Neuse Buffer with the exception of tying in to two existing bridge crossings over Hominy Swamp Creek that allows connectivity of the property and a tie-in at Kincaid Ave where Phase 2 would extend north. On behalf of The City of Wilson, please find attached for your review and approval Four (4) copies of each of the following items: Buffer Authorization Form Phase 1 of the Proposed Greenway Improvements with Buffer Impacts Project Area on NRCS Web Soil Survey, NC Soils Survey, and USGS Quadrangle Mapping Should you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to call.
