Dear Mr. Latham:
Please accept this addendum to the notifications made to Tim Latham and Bryan Roden -
Reynolds on May 29, 2018 at 12:37 pm regarding the Piedmont Natural Gas Clemmons Area
Upgrade Pipeline project in Davie County, North Carolina. On Monday, June 4, 2018, Duke
Energy was notified of impacts to a property owner's pond, adjacent wetlands and a stream that
resulted from the same storm events causing the sediment releases reported on May 29, 2018.
Duke Energy has been in contact with the property owner and is currently developing a
remediation plan that will be submitted to the property owner for his review and acceptance. In
addition, the project team is implementing BMPs recommended by Sue Homewood, NCDEQ,
Division of Water Resources, during her June 5, 2018 inspection of the project.
