Morning,
Sorry for any confusion. Below is a response to your comments
1. The attached Equivalent Area Map shows the drainage divide lines. The western building roof slope will match
the existing building roof slope with the southern portion (~15%) draining to the south and bypassing the
SCM. The northern portion (~85%) drains to the north and ultimately into the sand filter SCM.
2. Yes, the roof of the eastern building will slope to the east so roof runoff will be captured and conveyed to the
SCM.
3. The attached Equivalent Area Map and area tables should clarify which areas are being treated through the sand
filter SCM. The area tables show that the new impervious area is 7.5 acres and we’re treating 7.7 acres.
Attached is the Supplemental Form that should have been submitted. I might be missing something, but It appears
completed.
Thanks,
Dan Shabeldeen

Hi Dan,
st
I received your resubmittal on May 31. I still need more information on the grading to ensure that a sufficient amount
of BUA is being treated by the sand filter. Could you please provide the following information?
1
There’s a label on the western building that says “drainage divide”. Does this mean that the entire roof north of
that note drains to the northern end of the building? Drains that flow west or south will flow into the existing
drainage system and bypass the basin.
Do all of the downspouts from the proposed eastern building discharge to the proposed drainage system to the
east or do some of them drain west? Those that drain to the west will bypass the sand filter and not be treated.
A significant amount of proposed BUA between the existing building and the proposed eastern building
bypasses the sand filter. This is offset by some of the existing parking to the northern end of the site that will
drain to the sand filter; however, it is not possible to tell based on the provided grading sheets. Your letter dated
May 3, 2018 says that sheets C3-Grading and Drainage Plan was attached to show that information; however,
the only sheets that were submitted are sheets C2, C6, and C7.
Also, the Supplemental Form must be completed in its entirety and submitted. The form that I received did not contain
any information for Sand Filter MDC2.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Corey Anen

Good morning Corey,
Hope all’s well. What’s the status of the permit review for the referenced project? The contractor emailed me that they
are waiting for approval so they can move forward with the project.
Thanks,
Dan Shabeldeen
