Hi Michael,
A few items/issues for this project:
1. Please note that the PCN identifies this project as draining to Cane Creek in the Cape Fear River Basin, however I
believe it actually drains to E. Belews Creek, a Class C water in the Roanoke River Basin. Please double check
that I am correct.
2. You identify a location on site where the intermittent stream transitions to a perennial stream, however the
Division has not confirmed this transition point. Please provide DWR stream forms and photos to support this
transition point location or please schedule a site visit for me to verify the I/P transition.
3. You state that the impact to the stream is necessary to make the proposed project economically feasible and to
create slopes that are safe and maintainable. Please elaborate on this statement with an analysis of the aspects
of the development that would be lost if the stream is avoided and/or if the impacts are reduced, as well as an
analysis of the impact reduction that could be realized with the use of a retaining wall.
Thanks,
