In addition, this Office requests more detail in how the unauthorized excavation occurring in Zone 1 at the outlet of the double barrel culverts will be stabilized and restored. The planting of red maple and sweet gum as part of the restoration is not an acceptable due to the successional nature of the species. This Office will not remove the hold on buffer authorization application for Bendigo Bay until an amended restoration plan and PCN application has been received and associated approvals (restoration plan and 401 and buffer authorization) have been issued by this Office.
