Subject: [External] RE: Inundation of Wetland D Attachments: Wetland D.pptx David, Per our conversation, I have attached photos of Wetland D area for your review. In the picture on the bottom right on the second page there is a tree that fell during the storm where Duke Energy will remove the tree and replace matting tomorrow. The sediment deposit was minimal and there is seeding that is beginning to sprout. Thank you for your review. Please let me know of any questions/comments or further remedial actions required. I received a call from DRCC on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 7 pm concerning impacts to Wetland D area caused by storm events. DRCC received 2.7 inches of rain on Wednesday with the heaviest rainfall occurring between 2:30 pm and 5:45 pm equating to 2.35 inches of rain. The Remediation for ash removal approved by USCOE/DWR was completed on 5/15/18 with installation of matting. The Wetland D area was inundated from the natural stormwater flow to this area. There is the potential of sediment from the Limits of Disturbance (LOD) from ROCKI-2016-003 (Landfill Construction) entering into the LOD for ROCKI-2018- 018 (Wetland D). These LODs share a common boundary. At this time, the amount of potential sediment cannot be determined. Once the water has been removed I will update you and send photos of the area. Thank you for your consideration. Please let me know if you have questions or need additional information.
