The North Carolina Department of Transportation Structures Management Unit has
begun studying the replacement of the following:
BR-0013 — Bridge No. 250019 over I-95 on NC 82 ROW 2020 Let 2021
BR — 0014 — Bridge No. 250025 over Beaver Dam Creek on NC 242 ROW
2019 Let 2020
B-5985 — Bridge No. 770125 over Lumber River on NC 41/ NC 72 and Bridge No.
770175 over Lumber River on SR 1600 ROW 2021 Let 2022
The projects are included in the 2017-2027 North Carolina State Transportation
Improvement Program (STIP).
We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating
potential environmental impacts of the project. If applicable, please identify any permits
or approvals which may be required by your agency. Your comments will be used in the
preparation of a Minimum Criteria Determination Checklist. This document will be
prepared in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act. It is desirable that your
agency respond by July 15, 2018 so that your comments can be used in the preparation
of this document. See attached for a copy of the vicinity map and study area for each
bridge replacement project.
