Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this application:* The project will rehabilitate a major sewer outfall of 30 inch reinforced concrete pipe which was installed in 1973. The pipeline was installed along Briery Run an Stonyton Creek, and it is in the floodplain of these two main drainage basins in Lenoir County. The soils and physical presence of water and wetland plants classify the area as wetlands. The plan is to use "no dig" methods wherever possible, and access the sewer line and manholes using construction mats 4b. Explain the purpose of the proposed project:* The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate a major Sewer outfall installed in 1973. The concrete pipe is deteriorated and experiencing significant inflow and infiltration. The project is designed to add life to the pipe which is approaching its life expectancy of 50 years, and to reduce the inflow and infiltration. 4g. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used: Project will consist of laying out construction mats to provide access for equipment such as Track hoes, Trucks, Cleaning and TV Equipment, Equipment for installing Cured in Place Pipe, Bypass Pump equipment, and other equipment as needed. Access will be provided by using construction mats which will minimize the impact to wetlands, streams and buffers. The thirty inch concrete sewer pipe will be rehabilitated using no dig methods, cured in place pipe. All manholes will be raised to two feet above the 100 year floodplain, and manholes will be rehabilitated using a cured in place liner. 4h. Please upload project drawings for the proposed project.
