The sludge removal contract is bid out to various firms; the low bidder on the current project is Bio-Nomic Services, Inc. (516 Roundtree Road, Charlotte, NC 28217-2133). Sludge has been removed from the Coddle Creek lagoon approximately every 11/2 years. The quantities of sludge average between 4500—5500 tons.
