The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) — Division 3 is beginning the
project development, planning, and engineering studies for State Transportation
Improvement Program (STIP) Project Number U-5863, the widening of NC 133 (Castle
Hayne Road) from I-140 to Division Drive in Wilmington, New Hanover
County. Attached are the Start of Study letter and the project data sheet, which
includes a project location map and an environmental features map. We respectfully
request any comments you may have on the subject project by Friday December 1,
2017.
